We are officially announcing Dhokla has been acquired by Team Liquid and will be joining them
as of today. Dhokla joined us back in May, and in his short time within the organization has helped us achieve our first Proving Grounds Circuit event victory; winning Challengers Uprising earlier this month taking a 3-1 series over Zoos Gaming. We appreciate all that Dhokla has done for Wildcard in his time with the team and we are excited to see him showcase his talent on Team Liquid.
When asked about the recent acquisition by Team Liquid, Myra, our League of Legends General Manager had this to say:
“Dhokla has been a steady veteran for us, having helped the newer players on the team learn gameplay fundamentals and provided stability in comms and team reviews. I am extremely proud of Dhokla for getting the opportunity to move back into professional play, and all of us at Wildcard are very thankful for what he’s achieved with us in this short period of time. I also want to thank both Spawn and Dodo from Team Liquid for making this a very smooth and efficient process for all parties. I’m looking forward to watching Dhokla compete on stage and wish him all the best.”
Moving forward Wildcard Red will be looking to both internal and external options to fill the opening left by Dhokla. The team will be competing in the upcoming Scouting Grounds Circuit event Risen Champions League starting on June 21st. Wildcard Red has auto-qualified for the event after winning Challengers Uprising and Wildcard Black will be playing in the Open Qualifiers on June 19th/June 20th. Stay tuned to Wildcard socials for updates on our teams in the near future!
