Rainbow Six | Roster Update
Wildcard has been actively participating in the ANZ Rainbow Six Siege scene for a little over a year now and it’s been nothing short of amazing from the start. Our team, our dedicated and phenomenal fans, and all of our players’ hard work has paid off time and time again. As we move forward and progress change is a given- For us, and for our players.
Wildcard would like to give Ethan a sincere thank you. He’s been an experienced and valued player since we entered the R6 scene, consistently playing to the best of his ability and easily giving himself the title as one of the best. Due to personal reasons, Ethan has requested to be benched. We’ll never stop our players from taking care of themselves and we’re here to support them, always.
With Ethan’s absence we had to start seeking a replacement- But how do you replace someone who is irreplaceable? While we will never find another Ethan we are confident that our newest addition to Wildcard will be a good one. With that, we would like to give a very warm welcome to Vincent “Vincere” Daniele. We sat down with Vincere to ask him a few questions so we could get to know him better. Here’s what he had to say:
How long have you been playing R6 for? How long have you played it competitively?
I have been playing R6 since the beginning of Operation Health (June 2017) and have been playing competitively since December 2018.
What role will you play on Wildcard’s Rainbow Six Siege team?
For the most part I will be directly replacing Ethan on the entry role, as well as playing a Flex-Support role on a few maps. I think the biggest strength of this team is it’s flexibility so the roles will most likely get moved around a bit throughout the season.
Who is your favorite and least favorite operator?
Favourite operator is Sledge on attack and Valkyrie on defence.
Least favourite operator on attack is Blitz and Kapkan on defence.
Have you played at a LAN for R6 before? If so, how was it? If not, when things in the world go back to normal, where would you like to play?
I played at the Six Masters 2019 LAN in Melbourne. Individually, I had a pretty poor performance. Being my first LAN experience there were a few nervous jitters but overall it was a great experience. When we’re able to travel again I’d love to play at the Invitational in Montreal or an APAC Final in Japan.
What are your goals for the rest of 2020 and beyond?
The main goal for 2020 is to win both the Oceanic Nationals and the Mini Major in November, and give ourselves the best chance at qualifying for the Invitational next February. The current goal is to settle in as quickly as possible and start putting up great results for the team.
Wildcard is happy to have Vincere join the family and we’re of course wishing Ethan the best. We’re excited to see our team in action with the new roster September 16th, 8:00pm AEST/6:00am EST. Tune in to show the guys some love and come flash your #stackthedeck pride!
