WoW Arena | Zeepeye's Elemental Shaman Guide
| GEAR | ESSENCES | MACROS | COMMON MISTAKES |
Emil “Zeepeye” Ek is an extremely talented Elemental Shaman in the World of Warcraft Arena professional scene. He’s been an amazing asset to the Wildcard team and his immense skill is proved time and time again. We’re super excited to present the community with his personal tips, tricks, and play style and we hope it will inspire some new Elemental Shaman in the near future players!
Good Shutdowns
Good Overall Damage
Not Good Into Rogues
Not Much Crowd Control
FIRST TIER
Earthen Rage
Your damaging spells incite the earth around you to come to your aid for 6 sec, repeatedly dealing (13.75% of Spell power) Nature damage to your most recently attacked target.
Zeepeye says Earthen Rage is the best pick, as it makes your gushing proc more often and does decent overall damage.
SECOND TIER
Totem Mastery
Summons four totems that increase your combat capabilities for 2 min.
Resonance Totem
Generates 1 Maelstrom every 1 sec.
Storm Totem
Increases the chance for Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning to trigger Elemental Overload by 5%.
Ember Totem
Increases Flame Shock damage over time by 10%.
Tailwind Totem
Increases your Haste by 2%.
Zeepeye says Totem Mastery makes you gain haste and generate a bit more maelstrom, as well as you’ll have a chance to trigger your overload and increase your flame and shock dmg.
THIRD TIER
Earth Shield
Protects the target with an earthen shield, reducing all damage the target receives by 10% and causes the target to be healed for (112.5% of Spell power) when they take an attack equal to 4% of their total health. 4 Charges.
Earth Shield can only be placed on one target at a time.
Zeepeye says Earth Shield is just a small heal you can put on yourself or your teammates to help your healer out.
FOURTH TIER
Master of Elements
Casting Lava Burst increases the damage of your next Nature, Physical, or Frost spell by 20%.
Zeepeye says Master of the Elements is very good to use before you use your earth shock to do a big hit.
FIFTH TIER
Nature’s Guardian
When your health is brought below 35%, you instantly heal for 20% of your maximum health. Cannot occur more than once every 45 sec.f your next Nature, Physical, or Frost spell by 20%.
Zeepeye says Nature’s Guardian is a good heal that has saved him many times vs setup comps and cleaves.
SIXTH TIER
Primal Elementalist
Your Earth, Fire, and Storm Elementals are drawn from primal elementals 80% more powerful than regular elementals, with additional abilities, and you gain direct control over them.
Zeepeye says Primal Elementalist is very good overall damage and makes your maelstrom regen faster. The Earth Elemental gives you a wall that you can use while in stun. It’s very good to use vs rogue mage in the opener. It also gives you a 4 second stun that you can use defensively or offensively to land kills or stop cc.
SEVENTH TIER
Stormkeeper
Charge yourself with lightning, causing your next 2 Lightning Bolts to deal 150% more damage, and also causes your next 2 Lightning Bolts or Chain Lightnings to be instant cast and trigger an Elemental Overload on every target.
Zeepeye says Stormkeeper is very good to boost your maelstrom up and do a small bang!
Zeepeye’s trait choices are quite simple, and he got straight to the point with us. He recommends you take the following, saying “If you don’t have 3 NH can use 1 Igneous Potential.”
3x Lava Shock
3x Natural Harmony
Again Zeepeye cut straight to the point! He gave us the following stat priority.
Versatility > Haste > Critical Strike = Mastery
BACK TO TOP
Corruptions
For corruptions Zeepeye says that Gushing is “By far theyou best bet,” and that “12% Versa is your second best option.” Sounds pretty simple to us!

Zeepeye says that one of the most common mistakes an Elemental Shaman makes is using Lightning Lasso when interrupts are ready and people are on Dr. He also mentions that not knowing what to shear and ground is also another detrimental mistake that’s made often. With these tips and the rest of his guide we’re hoping to see more Ele Shamans in the Arena scene! Let us know if you try anything here out and how it’s worked! #stackthedeck
